Have been quite good at this, but am still checking emails too often and getting waylaid, so I’m now aiming to only check email at the start of a work session and inbetween distinct work tasks.
I’m scrapping this goal as it’s too fixed for me, and going with “get enough sleep” instead. I’m trying now to shift my sleep pattern around go to bed earlier at night and get up earlier in the morning – this way I wake up naturally, so should be getting enough sleep. But sometimes I need to stay up late to work, so I really need to just be more aware of when I’m missing sleep and compensate the next night.
Absolutely :) I find I often become aware that I’m not eating mindfully. Actually, that’s probably a good thing, as a lot of the time I don’t even get that far. It’s been a variable month since I wrote that entry, and it’s been a terrible last week… so thank you for the comment – it made me read my own words again, and I’ll start (once again) to try and live by them.
